Zakiyyah "Za" Langford is the Principal Real Estate Broker/Property Manager for MLE Realty & Property Management in Memphis, Tennessee.  Zakiyyah has over 7 years of experienced in the real estate industry as an investor, developer, property manager, and real estate agent.

Zakiyyah is a Board Member of the Center City Commission’s Development Corporation.  She is also on the Board of Adjustments for the Memphis & Shelby County Division of Planning and Development and is on the executive committee of the Urban Land Institute's Young Leaders Group where she serves as the membership chair.

Zakiyyah holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Memphis and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University in Stanford, California.

Zakiyyah was one of the first real estate agents to receive the Welcome Home Memphis certification from the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR). Through a partnership with the City of Memphis, MAAR created the Welcome Home Memphis program to increase awareness among consumers and real estate professionals of the array of homeownership assistance porgrams available to low- and moderate-income buyers.  She was awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR®) designation by the Real Estate BUYER’S AGENT Council, Inc. (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR), joining more than 32,000 real estate professionals in North America who specialize in buyer representation.

Zakiyyah is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR), Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR), MAAR MLS & IDX, Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), Memphis real estate Investor’s Association (Mid-South REIA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

For her investor client’s, Zakiyyah believes in studying residential real estate investments as a commercial practitioner would. She can assist you in an in-depth financial analysis of any potential investment. She also has easy access to a slew of real estate professionals from lawyers to inspectors to contractors to appraisers.
